Hi! My name is Lynne and I can't stop ORGANIZING!

I just can't help it. I like everything in it's place (Rule #1 when organizing) and I like it to look nice. So now that I've spent the last few years organizing Sean and I (and the closets, drawers, pantries) I've started organizing Brendan's toys! When you've got a LARGE collection of trains, cars and trucks...it can get out of control! SERIOUSLY! So in January, (when many people clean up after the holidays) I bought these bins at Target (my 2nd home) and started sorting all of the toys. It was nice to see all the toys in their bins and not all over the basement. Then I got out my DYNO labeler. (Everyone should have one of these by the way!) And yes, I actually labeled all the bins with their contents. Ok, so call me anal, call me crazy, but heck, it's clean and tidy around the toy areas now! So now I'm into organizing blogs! Blogs for people (mostly ordinary ones, but a few on the anal side) who have these great organizing ideas and post pics of things they organize. Really, I'm not kidding, there are such sites. Great, right? Strange, yes!

So here they are: (feel free to visit them!)

Here are the toy bins I created...(here are 4 to be exact...I've got about 10 - haha!)

Here's my solution to the overload of books...baskets! Everywhere! In Every room...this encourages lots of reading! (can you tell I'm a teacher?)

I also picked up these red organizer cans/tins at Pottery Barn Outlet to organize the crayons, markers & stickers.

I totally feel you on this. I have gone so far as to go online and download logos for things like Fisher Price Little People and then Modge Podge them onto our bins! To be honset though, I always find that my kids play best - and most creatively when everything is neat. More power to you!

I'm gonna have to steal your basket idea! BTW, you and I have the same exact anniversary date :-) not sure what we're doing for our 6th but I'm sure it'll involve getting away. Great blog!

So great, I'm sure this post has helped many people! I too love the clear bins as it makes it so easy for the kids to maintain. I also love book baskets, so fun!
