Happy Easter, Happy Spring!

March Madness!!

Here are a few pictures from our busy March! We attended the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Islip. Brendan created a Leprechaun Catcher for school. We took the boys to White Post Farms to feed the animals. Christian turned 10 months! He's finally crawling! Sean participated in St. Baldrick's for a cure for children's cancer - by shaving his head! Enjoy! Happy Spring!!

Taking Flight

Finally (OK, about 2 weeks ago...forgive me for being behind!!) we released our butterflies. For the last 4 years I have been hatching butterflies in my classroom and for the last 3 years I've brought a few home for Brendan to hatch. He absolutely LOVES this. To see the change is AMAZING! The caterpillars grow at morph speed...eating ... eating... eating. Then they form their chrysalis and the change begins...into a beautiful and colorful butterfly. It truly is exciting to see. So we finally set them free.

It's a Good Friday..."The Bunny" is almost here!

Happy Friday! I can't believe Easter is almost here! You wouldn't know it with the crazy weather! Warm, cold, rain, snow, clouds...ugh! Well, that's April I guess. So on this "Good Friday" we decided to dye our eggs for Sunday.

Our week has not been too exciting. This year Sean and I have different vacation weeks. Brendan and I have been off since Monday and Sean's vacation only started this Thursday. He's off all next week. Brendan and I go back on Tuesday. It's doesn't really feel like vacation!

A recap...

So this week was a little shopping and a lot of resting. I'm really starting to feel limited in my abilities and energy. Yeah! Only a few more weeks to go!!!

Brendan has been trying his best to help me out with laundry and picking up stuff. We were able to play some games and cars this week - as long as I could sit and play. It 's really our last vacation before the baby comes so we're trying to make it special for Brendan.

Brendan slept over his Nana and PopPop's house one night. And I got the basement reorganized to fit some baby equipment. We even picked up a new vacuum - only a cleaner like me would get excited over this- a DYSON!! Sean and I went out to dinner the following evening while Brendan spent some time with our babysitter.

All in all the week went VERY fast and pretty well. We thought we'd end our week by going out to dinner with Brendan. His choice. So it's Friendly's for dinner. Not our personal favorite but he LOVES to get ice cream. At this point I'm not arguing with him about that!!

Spring? Where are you?

Melissa over at The Inspired Room is hosting a "20 Reasons to Look Forward to Spring" party and it's a perfect day to join in on this one! Right now I'm home...no work or school...it's a snow day! We've already gotten about 8+ inches...it's expected to go past a foot. YIKES! March is certainly coming in like a LION! So here's to all the LAMB lovers...

1. Warm days! A light sweater, a warm breeze, and a lots of sunshine! Longer days of daylight!




2. Getting my garden ready...bringing out the pots and garden decor.







3. Meeting our new baby...due late Spring (May).







4. Walks around the neighborhood.


5. The smell of fresh cut grass. I love the smell of the ground "defrosting" from winter.



6. Being able to open the windows and let in the warm, fresh air.


7. Flip flops...I love open toe season!



8. Getting pedicures for open toe season...in pink!



9. Pastel colors - in decor and clothing.
10. Tulips and daffodils - I love spring flowers.







11. Hatching butterflies at school and at home.







12. Easter and bunnies.



13. Decorating Easter eggs.


14. Eating lots of egg salad!



15. Being able to go to the park and sending Brendan OUTSIDE to play!


16. Short sleeve shirts and capri pants.


17. Spring cleaning...well, any cleaning usually makes me happy!


18. Spring yard clean up. I love when those "yard guys" come and blow away all the "dead" leaves and brush and my yard is fresh and clean.


19. Turning off the heat...lower heating bills.


20. Seeing all the animals around our house come out. The first robin, and our neighborhood bunnies and their new families.
